Pinched Nerve – 3 Questions

Welcome Dr. Day here, as a Las Vegas chiropractor who is enthusiastic about offering the very best in chiropractic care, I thought you might benefit from the following information, Pinched Nerve – 3 Questions.

Pinched Nerve – What is it?

Pinched nerve is a term that describes a condition where a nerve experiences pressure or irritation from the bones, ligaments, cartilage or muscles that surround it. This condition disrupts communication pathways in the nervous system causing a number of symptoms.

Pinched Nerve – Do I have one?

There are a number of ailments that can mimic the symptoms of a pinched nerve so it is a good idea never to self-diagnose.  A Henderson chiropractor has the training and equipment to properly diagnose your symptoms.

The fact is that pinched nerves are a rare occurrence. Statistically, less than 15% of problems associated with the spine are caused by direct pressure of bone on nerve tissue. It is more common to experience an irritated or inflamed nerve than a pinched one.

Pinched Nerve – What to do next?

A pinched nerve – wherever it is in the body – can be very painful and completely debilitating. Painkillers are useful in the short term but will do nothing to repair the damage. Chiropractic treatment treats the source of the problem and not just the symptoms, so when you experience pain relief, it is because the underlying problem is repaired.

If you are in pain and you think a pinched nerve is the culprit, you should make an appointment with a Henderson chiropractor.

As owner of Anthem Chiropractic, Dr. Derek Day, a Henderson chiropractor, presents a range of treatment options for a vast array of conditions. These include: physiotherapy, gentle adjustments, massage therapy, nutritional counseling, and non-surgical spinal decompression.

He and his staff work hard at providing effectual, professional care in a friendly, team atmosphere. Dr. Day makes use of the most current techniques which helps reduce the need for invasive treatment.

Any Henderson chiropractor will agree that spine health is a crucial component for wellbeing. Your spine controls your entire nervous system so it only makes sense to take the best care of it possible.

Our patients had this to say:
Larry McCormick, on March 18th, 2010 at 12:43 am said about Dr. Day, Las Vegas chiropractor:

I had severe pain from my lower back down my left leg and around my left foot. I could only stand or walk for about one minute and I would hurt so bad that I needed to sit down. I was riding in carts at stores and my wife was pushing me in a wheel chair when visiting many places that we traveled to. We are full time RV’ers and I was missing much of the fun our lifestyle can deliver. I went to a medical doctor and after x-rays and an MRI, I received a series of shots in my back. The diagnosis was degenerative disc disease. After all the shots, I was told that I was just going to have to take pain pills for the rest of my life. I came to Dr. Day and after 12 visits my back and leg pain was gone! I finished my treatments in May of 2008 and as of February 2010; I still don’t have the pain any longer. I believe in disc decompression
